What Bills’ cut from this past Saturday surprised you the most?

James Hardy, to me, was not surprising. Teams like the Bills get "intoxicated" with Hardy's leaping ability, which is all he had, never mind the fact he never could stay healthy or focused, plus dealin with his off-the-field issues.
What are your impressions thus far on Bills rookie RB C.J. Spiller now that the preseason is over?
Fracassi: I have always been impressed with Spiller from his days at Clemson. He's an electrifying player with a lot of ability. That run against the Colts in the pre-season was awesome. Plus, with the injuries to Jackson and Lynch, it actually proved to be a smart pick."
What is your opinion on the Bills quarterback situation? Did they drop the ball when they didn't take one early in the draft?
Fracassi: I think the Bills would have liked to draft a QB, but, after Sam Bradford, who was out there? Tebow? For all his positive attributes, his mechanics still need a lot of work. Claussen? Too much of a windup, plus some attitude questions. The guy I might have taken a flyer on was Mike Kafka, who made the Eagles roster. Was Chan Gailey the right hire for this team?
Fracassi: Chan Gailey was not the sexy choice, but for this situation, he may have been the right one. Having worked w/HOF QB's Troy Aikman and John Elway, Chan has a reputation of giving his signal callers every opportunity to succeed. I believe a lot of folks (me included) want to see Trent Edwards succeed, but he needs to be rebuilt confidence-wise. Gailey's calm demeanor and confidence- boosting will be good for the roster. Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones says, to this day, he made a mistake in firing Gailey, so that tells me something.
Most experts believe that the Bills will be the bottom dwellers of the AFC East, and some even say the bottom of the league. Where do you see them heading in 2010?
Fracassi: I would have to agree with the doomsayers. about the Bills standing in the AFC East. With the Jets getting Revis back, that already solid defense is that much better. With them, Mark Sanchez has to grow up in year two for them to make that next step. Indianapolis Colts jersey
The Patriots are still a formidable team as long as Brady and Belichick are around. Miami gave Chad Henne a huge target in Brandon Marshall. Will they get enough pass rush from the defense is key? Those teams are clearly better than the Bills...on paper, anyway. If Buffalo wins six games, that would be a step in the right direction
